No one knows green building practices and green business like Kim Pexton.  Kim is the founder of The Verde Companies, an umbrella for green business ventures under the Verde name.  Verde Rue is a green lifestyles company that represents sustainable furniture. 

 

Her clients range from specialty contractors to design professionals. 

 

Kim is well connected in the DC Metro Area architecture and building community.  Her experience and intimate knowledge of materials allows her to quickly distinguish between green washers and the real deal.

 

Kim is a LEED® Accredited Professional and has sixteen years of construction industry experience. She is a seasoned speaker and internationally published author on the development and implementation of Green Building Practices. Her experience includes work on over 60 projects that have earned various levels of LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certification; a design based green building rating system administered by the United States Green Building Council). 

 

Kim is currently the USGBC National Capital Region Chapter Out Going Chair and Regional Representative.
